The images I take are a personal approach to capture silent, hidden expressions in between conscious moments of time, and how I reflect my mediated nostalgia towards a present perspective in popular art and the politics of social confrontation between people.
I feel the most important tool in photographic expression is the skill to silently speak the truth to the subject, whether documenting it in a non-direct way towards the subject or pushing for the image to make a deliberate flat, conventional role-play. The dark reality of human nature can always be hidden through one’s eyes or revealed in naked form as the camera simply looks down on, inside and through.
