Part 2 of St. Clare’s Night Tests:

SO I got them up, for sale and profiled: my 2011-2012 Knits are in the world. As this design project started in 2009 while I was producing my Punu Bumesi Project, I collaborated with my good friend Lynko on some of the styles, colors, aesthetic and look of this knit collection. A whopping 30 degrees in Melbourne, we manages to rock out in the future water fountain spray, last week. Here are a few behind our shoot shots. For more on the Bumesi Knit Collection, visit my Design Page or the Bumesi Store.

I had the privilege to photograph a friend of Nahuatl Sound System (aztec – cumbia dub, originated in Melbourne by a wild group of Latin brothers), Catalina Real, a real Colombian princess, at the Docklands a week ago. She has a fun presence, like an old school Miami girl with a tough edge. I created an edit with a Melbourne Medley, part of a new project I am shooting for this southern hemisphere’s summer, mixing landscapes of Melbourne and portraits of the people who live it up during the Melbourne heat. Enjoy:

Well, I have to say, this is my most favorite fashion week of all is Tokyo Fashion Week, I LOVE JAPAN! Here are a few of my favorite styles from Japanese designers Johan Ku, Fur Fur and Facetasm. Their technique and “innovativeness” is inspirational every year. So many layers and best for Melbourne’s Tropical London like weather. And men, why don’t you wear things more like this??? Enjoy some eye candy clothes:
St. Clare and Dru have done it again, with Paris 99′s . A unique interior space out in Esternwick, Yahav Ron’s rad collection of vintage resale fashion from labels such as Proenza Schouler, Balenciaga, Lanvin, Dries Van Noten, Dior and YSL, his taste is way worth making an appointment! His own collections are available to order as well, and I was quite intrigued by his inspirations coming from parisian “street” furniture. Visit Paris 99 Boutique Website to make an appointment for styling with Yahav here: www.paris99.net
St Clare, A Fair Lady, wears some of her finest by Paris 99 as a woman who has gone from rags to riches in her music and performances here in Australia. Right now she is on tour through out Australia, you can listen to some of her music with Mikelangelo and the Tin Star.

New Shoes and A New Video by Me for Preston Zly Spring/Summer 2012 Oceania:

Preston Zly Design has been good to me. I admire their creative aspirations as they keep creating cool, crazy art shoes. This season Johanna Preston and Petr Zly designed a collection entitled Oceania, based on pacific Island themes and inspirations of the Maori, New Zealand art. Upon almost breaking my ankle at the Melbourne Boho Ball last month, (and yes I was saved from the break due to my knee high Preston Zly combat boots) I managed to move in my own feet for this video which I shot for their new season look. And recover safely and quickly to shoot new projects! Enjoy the styles and the video! X

September the best time for new styles, changes and beginnings, its my bday too! So here are my styling picks for NYC, London and Milan. NYC seemed a little 70s which tends to repeat in America, Milan had a variety of trends of which I prefer the Bull Fighter and Psychedelic Knits but a new white tailored pieces were in there and some nurse wear (hmmm haha) that seemed to be a bit of a trend in Milan as well, London…my ultimate fav! The Signet Bureau is a shop I work for featuring Melbournian Fashion designers MUNK, MM Sohn and Robyn Black, along with the favourite shoes my Melbournian designers Preston Zly. For their Spring/Summer 2012 Season Launch I put a little video together based on their spring theme “Everyone Is An Artist,” a quote by Joseph Beuys in memory and inspiration. The music was put together by my man Fernando and trumpet player Dale Dunbar, both of Nahuatl Sound System, a pretty snazzy tune! The video was launched during their showing last thursday at the shop. Check out this pics and video here:
